Our Leadership
Hope Channel International is a God-led ministry, guided by a team committed to mission-first leadership, global collaboration, and faithful stewardship. With diverse experience in media, ministry, and strategy, our leaders guide this movement with vision, humility, and a heart for the gospel.

Vyacheslav Demyan
President, Hope Channel International
Vyacheslav’s journey began in Soviet Ukraine, where at just eight years old, the KGB confiscated his very first Bible. Raised in a climate of religious oppression, he spent his youth secretly copying Scripture. This act forged a lifelong calling to bring God’s Word to others.
His path led him into both theology and journalism, pairing spiritual depth with communication expertise. He earned his bachelor’s in theology from Bogenhofen Seminary in Austria and served as a pastor and evangelist. In 2008, he led the establishment of Hope Channel Ukraine, which became the country’s largest Christian television network. In 2019, he joined Hope Channel International as Vice President of Programming and was later elected President in 2023.
With master’s and doctoral studies focused on missiology and contextualization, Vyacheslav has a deep passion for mission and innovation.

Gideon Mutero
Vice President for Finance and CFO
Gideon Mutero has served the global Seventh-day Adventist Church in nearly every treasury role from conference to division to the General Conference. Before joining Hope Channel International, he was CFO at ADRA International, where he led with mission-minded financial discipline.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, as well as a Doctor of Leadership from Andrews University. Gideon sees stewardship as a spiritual responsibility: to align every dollar with the mission.
He is married to Sophia, who works with Adventist Risk Management, and together they have two adult daughters, Rachel and Peris.

Robbie Berghan
Vice President-Elect for Global Media and Engagement
Robbie Berghan merges media innovation with evangelistic purpose. As national content manager for Faith FM in Australia, he transformed a radio network into a digital mission field, connecting listeners to Bible studies, churches, and baptisms through data-driven outreach.
His ministry spans church planting, cross-cultural media, and strategic content development across several continents. At Hope Channel International, he now leads global media engagement, strengthening partnerships and building digital pathways to hope. Robbie serves alongside his wife, Rebeka, and their children, Arris and Ariella.
