When full-scale war reached Orekhov, Ukraine, Tatyana’s life collapsed in an instant. Explosions tore through the night. In minutes she had to choose: stay and risk everything, or run with nothing. 

She left her home, her belongings, even her documents, and walked more than 31 miles into the unknown. Tatyana is over 60 years old. Exhausted and afraid, she found shelter in a Seventh-day Adventist church.

Inside those walls, she met a new family. She joined them in prayer each Sabbath. In a season of grief and disruption, she sensed a quiet peace growing stronger than the fear around her.

Soon, someone offered her online Bible lessons from Hope Channel Ukraine. 

Day by day, promise by promise, the lessons opened Scripture to her heart. She discovered who God is, His mercy, His truth, His promise of eternal life. 

“Every day,” she shared, “I entrust my son who has been at the front lines since the first days of the war, and my own life, into the Lord’s hands. He is my Rock and my hope.”

At the start of this year, in Zaporizhia, Tatyana made the most important decision of her life. She entered the waters of baptism and made a covenant with Jesus. Even as sirens sounded and the world remained unsteady, her heart rested in Christ. 

“Thank God for His love and for the great family of faith I found in the Church,” she said. 

A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken
Scripture says, “We are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken” (Hebrews 12:28). For Tatyana, that phrase is a daily reality. The ground may rumble. Plans may change without warning, but the gospel does not move. And when everything else is uncertain, friends like you make God’s unshakable hope known.

But 1 billion at one per second would take 32 years of nonstop seconds. We don’t have that time. God calls us to act now. We cannot do this without you.
