Hope Channel International Welcomes Croatia and Introduces Mission Intelligence

HopeMedia Albania opens as a studio for sharing the gospel of Jesus across the country, in the spirit of "besa," the Albanian word for a promise kept.

Hope Channel International has welcomed Hope Channel Croatia into its global network and unveiled a revised licensing process built around Mission Intelligence, a planning tool that helps each channel understand the people it serves. The announcement came on July 6, 2026, at the Hope Channel Network Leadership Conference in Auckland, New Zealand, where nearly 250 leaders, communicators, and content creators gathered, as reported by the Trans-European Division.

Mission Intelligence puts the audience at the center. Part of a revised licensing process, it guides teams to refine their target audience and develop a clear viewer persona, so that content speaks to the real questions people ask and reaches people beyond the church’s own membership.

“We believe that by beginning our engagement journey with an intentional commitment to understanding the people in our region, our content will naturally become more relevant,” said Pastor Robbie Berghan, Vice President for Global Media and Engagement at Hope Channel International, who oversees the tool.* He tied it to a long-held principle of Adventist ministry, asking, “What does ‘Christ’s Method Alone’ look like in the digital space? Mission Intelligence answers that.”*

Croatia offers an encouraging picture of that approach. Its channel, BIBLIJA na dlanu (Bible in Hand), run from a small studio and led by Pastor Dario Kovačević, has grown to about 23,500 subscribers, according to Kovačević, with individual videos reaching as many as 105,000 views. Kovačević, author of Secrets of YouTube (Stanborough Press), built the ministry by studying what his audience searches for and answering it.

“It is such a joy to be part of the Hope Channel family, united by a shared mission to bring the message of salvation to people through media,” Kovačević said.*

Vyacheslav Demyan, president of Hope Channel International, placed Croatia’s entry in the context of the network’s global goal. “Welcoming Hope Channel Croatia into our global network expands our capacity to reach at least one billion people with the message of eternal hope by 2030, bringing us one step closer to fulfilling Christ’s commission to take the gospel to the ends of the earth,” he said.*

Croatia joins a growing network. Wales and the Netherlands are also pursuing licenses, part of a global family united in carrying the gospel of Jesus to the ends of the Earth (Acts 1:8).
