Hope Channel Introduces New Audio Features to Mobile Apps

Hope Channel International, Inc. introduced several new features to the Hope Channel apps for iOS and Android, including audio-only playback, audio-only download, and background audio. These features came to fruition as a result of a commitment to constantly improve the user experience and maximize the number of people who can access it. Planning for these new features began in Spring 2019, and are available now.

“I am delighted to be able to offer our users more ways to enjoy Hope Channel content, in ways that are even more convenient than before,” explained Justin Woods, Director of Digital Distribution. “Our goal is to help people know Jesus, and the peace that He brings. So, anything that we can do to make it easier for people to hear that message is very exciting for me.”

With audio-only playback, users can listen to Hope Channel programs without streaming the video. Those with unreliable or slow internet connection can now more easily connect with their favorite programs.

With the addition of background audio, users can also switch to different apps on their mobile device or lock the screen while still listening to the audio of the program.

Lastly, although the app already supports downloadable video, the extension to download audio-only content will make it faster, easier, and more space-efficient for phones. Now, users can enjoy listening to their favorite programs even when there is no internet access.
