EXPERIENCE: The Halloween Conversation That Gave My Client a New Way Into the Word of God
A conversation about my client’s holiday decorations turned to faith, and then we began talking about the programs she was watching.

In October 2025, my client asked whether I celebrated Halloween, and we began talking about our faith. I gave her a link to Hope Channel’s live stream so she could learn more about what I believed. In our conversations after her two months abroad, she told me she was watching it every day, had shared it with her mother and mother-in-law, and planned to invite her husband to watch with her.
Anna has been my client for about a year and a half, and I visit her home every two weeks, though we seldom see each other. During our conversation last October, I learned she believed in God and had been religious since childhood. I offered to share a channel where she could learn more about my faith, if she wanted, and said we could also talk. When Anna reminded me that she was rarely home during my visits, I told her that was one more reason to take a look.
On my next visit, two weeks later, Anna was preparing to travel abroad for work. The day before, she had watched Hope Channel and enjoyed a program about well-being and our relationships with others. I encouraged her to keep watching.
By the time we met again after her two months abroad, Hope Channel had become part of her daily life. Anna thanked me for introducing her to the channel, describing it as a blessing and a great gift in her life. Having watched every day during the trip, she now wanted to invite her husband to join her.
Whenever our paths crossed during my visits, we talked about the programs, and in one of those conversations, Anna told me she had also shared the channel with her mother and mother-in-law. Her life had changed a lot since she began watching, and she loved the way the programs approached the Word of God.
Those conversations gave us opportunities to talk about my faith, too. As I told Anna, there are many Christians and many religions, and each person builds their faith on something.
I also gave her a compilation of material from Steps to Christ, a book about growing closer to Jesus. Later, I found it open and marked in her home.
When I first shared the link, I expected nothing to come of it. Anna already knew Jesus in her own way, and I simply wanted to give her an opportunity to learn more about my faith in Him.
Our conversations about the programs have continued. Sometimes I watch Hope Channel a day or two before a visit so I can talk with Anna about it if she mentions it. She often does.
